Thank you so much for your continued business and patience. Whew.... it has been such a busy year for me, and I am not necessarily talking about business. Between taking care of the kids, selling our home, and moving, I feel like I have been non-stop busy.
I have been working on the website little by little to fix the problems I am having with it. Some of you may see no problems at all (it actually depends on your computer and the fonts that it has), but it is something that I have been working on. What should have been a simple fix turned into a huge problem when all my graphics saved on a flash drive lost their "names". So I have had to rebuild each page....and there's a lot of pages!
Thanks again for your continued patience while I fix the problems.

New Scents

I want to apologize for the wait on my new scents that I am adding. Here is my problem: I got a new computer and saved (from my old computer) all my webpage files, pictures, and the templates I created. When I put them on my new computer, none of the pictures "can be found", so I have to go back through and manually fix my template in order to create new pages. Not too terribly hard to do, but time consuming. I will work hard to get them completed today.

I just want to take a moment and thank everyone who sent me their well-wishes and prayers while I have been closed. Above is a picture of my Nanny just 2 months after her lung cancer diagnosis. She is greatly missed and I sure wish I could have had her longer, but I am blessed with the time I did have with her.... and I will forever have her in my heart. Grandparents are very special people.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Years and that 2009 is a good year for us all. Many heartfelt thanks and Best Wishes sent your way!

Hi everyone! I apologize that it is taking me longer than expected to re-open but I am diligently working on it. Last month was so hectic and on top of that, I lost my Grandmother to lung cancer. So it has been a very difficult time for me.
I am working on the website, adding new scents and removing others. I vow to be open no later than Feb. 1st but hopefully sooner. I promise I am working hard. To anyone who has placed an order while we are closed: I apologize that I am unable to fill your orders, but I have refunded your money and hope that you will come back and order once we re-open.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Years. I am looking forward to 2009! Thank you for your patience. Best wishes!

We are closed! I apologize that we have closed earlier than planned, but if I want my family to have Christmas this year, I have to close shop. Plus, I want to make sure that I can get all packages out in a timely fashion in case any of you plan to give some of the tarts as gifts. ;)

Christmas schedule update

Last orders must be in by Dec. 13th. I will ship these last orders out by the 19th (all priority mail).
The website will be closed from Dec. 14-Jan. 4th, and will reopen on Jan. 5th. I figure I better give myself a little time to bounce back and get stock up before re-opening because I had a heck of a time after Thanksgiving! LOL. So please hold any orders until that time. I am sorry I have changed it again. I have had great success with this sale and realized that if I did not set my "end" date sooner, I may not be able to get these orders out as quick as I need to. AND I desperately need to get ready for Christmas myself. LOL. I have 4 children to buy for, and I am very behind!
I hope you all have a wonderful blessed Christmas. Don't get caught up in all the store craziness and grouchy people that seem to come out this time of year. Just take a deep breath, count your blessings, and remember that it is all over in 18 days (from the date of this post). :)

December is about to pass me by, I am so behind in everything I need to be doing. LOL. I love this time of year, and then I love when it is over.

If you have received any Hansel and Gretel's House tarts, please contact me if it does not have a good hot throw. I have run into a problem with this oil and it is not performing the way that it use to in tarts for me. I have a new one coming from a different supplier, and after testing it, I will replace it on my site, and I will be more than happy to replace your "duds" with new ones. Unfortunately, these things can happen, so I am very grateful to a customer who brought it to my attention. (((((THANK YOU)))))

Holiday Schedule

Greetings! I hope that everyone is having a fabulous November and are geared up for Thanksgiving next week. I am so far behind with getting ready for our family coming to town, but I figure it will all get done...eventually. It is time to "Gobble til you Wobble"!

Just a quick note to let you all know that I will be closed next week. I may still work Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday through the Sunday (Nov. 26-30th) I will be closed. Any orders placed before the 26th will ship by/on the 26th. Starting the 26th, please hold your orders until the 1st of December, as I will not start processing them until Dec. 1. If you do place an order while I am closed, it will still submit and I will receive it, however, I will not start working on it until Dec. 1. And once I open shop on the 1st, as always, I will work on the orders in the sequence that I received them.

But good news for December!! I will be adding SEVERAL new scents. I don't want to give it all away, but one will be Blue Sugar. I am so addicted to this scent, and it is getting rave reviews, so I MUST keep it. Plus I will add "Naughty Elf Nightcap" ( I must be on a "naughty" kick LOL... and "Reindeer Chow", I think they will both be a big hit! Plus a couple others I will keep hushed about. So eventhough I will be off next week, in reality, I will be working on my web pages to add these new scents! HAHAHA, no rest for me.... but that is how I like it.

Those serving never hear "Thank You" enough.

HAPPY NOVEMBER

November is here! We are heading into the throes of winter and it is a mild 80 something here where I live. I can not wait to move north and learn what a real winter is like! This is my favorite time of year, but I would prefer if we had a brisk breeze in honor of November.
I have added several new scents permanently to my line. I have a wax melt/wax tart addiction myself and have the incessant need to try every scent under the sun! I am getting ready to test some new spring/summer scents and may need help in the testing process. I may come up with a way for you to order (at a MUCH reduced price) and ask that you provide feedback on the scent you are test burning for me. I have to figure it all out though and get it up on the site soon. Perhaps tomorrow will prove to have enough time in the day for me to do that.
Ok, enough chit chat!

Newly added this month:

Banana Nut Bread- This is WONDERFUL. The banana smells very true, and you can smell the delicious bread and sugar mingling with the banana for a delightful bakery treat. This one has an awesome hot throw!

Cup of Joe Pumpkin- Ohhhhhh so yummy! Pumpkin, spice, caramel, cream, and coffee. So good and perfect!

Blueberry Delight- A fantastic blueberry bakery. Very fragrant and true. Even those who do not like bakery scents enjoy this one. It is very good!
Heavenly cream combined with ripe blueberries.

For the Love of Pumpkin!- WONDERFUL! You are going to love this pumpkin scent. Fresh pumpkin, sugar, spices, and butter bring this scent to life! It is so good... try it and see.

Orange Chiffon Cake- Very fragrant! When I tested this one, I knew it would be a keeper right away. Super rich buttery pound cake with orange zests, vanilla, and tiny notes of coconut and rich gooey caramel.

Old Fashioned Apple Butter- This scent is just like apple butter! It amazes me. Fresh apple, cinnamon, and rich butter cream. MMMMmmmm good.

Swedish Ginger Cake- This is what Swedish gingerbread cupcake is suppose to be like. I have no clue if it is true to scent, but it is lovely!
This cupcake is mouth watering with butter, molasses, and spices.
A different type of bakery, but good, and fragrant!

I have been a working lunatic! Very busy with the Newbie sale and I am contemplating keeping something similar on the site for customers to test out new scents before buying. I completely understand that this business is all about the olfactory and customers want to sniff before they jump in with both feet. I was a "customer" once and I understand this!
Just want to let you know that I have added the new scents early. This is such an addiction, I could not resist and wait it out. ;) So these are now available: Frosty Farts, White Christmas Type, and Mulberry. I have Oh Romeo ready to go, but still need to create the web page for it so I should complete that soon! I also added a scent I nearly forgot about called "No More Stuffy Head". This one is JUST like Vicks Vapor Rub. When I have a cold, I melt this one all the time.
I am currently testing 2 new scents to add: Candied Yams and Victorian Christmas (I will test burn both of these at some point today).

Oh Romeo - I love this one! It screams romance and is a perfect bedroom fragrance. Will be a GREAT scent for Valentines Day! Has a light seductive musk scent to it. Very soft and sexy.

Frosty Farts - That's right. Even a snowman has the toots from time to time! This one is a bit of peppermint, candy, and pine. Perfect for the Holidays and the cool weather!

White Christmas Type - this is a copy of Yankee candles.
A brisk fresh-air scent of evergreen garland and berries packed with a punch! Very fragrant. Very Pretty.

Mulberry - A must for all year round! This is a very aromatic, strong mulberry. Beautiful! I have tried many, but this is the best I found.

Baby Powder- A super strong and awesome scent!

Black Raspberry Vanilla- Just like Bath and Body's version... a favorite of my daughters!

Midnight Pomegranate Type- A very enticing scent of fresh pomegranate with a little touch of musk. This scent is a dead on duplicate of Bath and Body Works version. Very awesome fragrance that lasts and lasts...

Hearth and Home and Autumn Leaves are also a part of our line now. Can you tell it has been a busy month for me?!
We also have added a line of Aroma Oils and are currently testing new fragrances to add in the coming months (to both our aroma oils and to our wax melts). I have a scent addiction... I admit it.

Wow, it is nearly mid-month already! Unbelievable...

Halloween Is upon us...

Well, we have decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon! It seems the thing to do and it will actually provide a great way to inform our customers of our sales and specials going on here at Everyday Whims.

Wow.... we are already in October. How fast time is going by! I love this month for several reasons. One, it is starting to cool down a bit which is such a relief as our summers can get pretty hot! Two, I love the fall decorations that begin to adorn everyone's home and yards. And three, I love the changing leaves. I am an avid walker and love to get out and take a look at what is going on in the neighborhood... which gives me the great opportunity to take a peek at everyone's fall decor.

Alright... enough about the reasons I love October.

Calling all goblins and ghouls.... we have scents just for you! They can be purchased on our Steals and Deals page and are discounted to .65 cents a piece!
This month we are featuring 3 scents in honor of All Hallows Eve...

The first Is Haunted Forest. So spooky and full of the moans and groans of the night... and night creatures. A haunting blend of fir trees, spices, and smooth vanilla. Don't like fir? No need to worry... this one does not bite.

The next is Harvest Moon. A howling good fragrance. Hear the howls in the distance? Feel the chill in the air... The shiver up your spine? Here is a scent to celebrate Halloween time! Cinnamon, fall spice, and a touch of orange.

The last is Witchy Woman. A bewitching scent to put you in a spell. A pinch of vanilla, a bit of sandalwood and myrrh, a touch of cinnamon, and a smidgen of frankincense. Definitely "witchy". Not dirt and earth... more like a good witch. Just don't make her mad.

Aroma oils will be available within the next week or 2. And we are adding a couple new scents for the holidays... we will blog and let you know once we have these new items on the site and available for purchase.
We are gearing up for a shipping sale possibly mid-month... so we will let you know when that will be. We all need to save a little money... and every little bit helps! A perfect time to start stocking up for the holidays!
